Tips for cleaning glass

Don't use ammonia cleaners (Windex). They can harm rubber, window film, and plastics.

Always clean in cool, shaded areas. Heat is not your friend!

Use multiple towels to clean with. The dirtier they get, the harder it is to achieve a clean finish.

Use products that are free of dyes and scents if possible. These are unnecessary and are what cause streaking sometimes.

Use high-quality towels. Low pile ones are best as they don't lint.

Wash your glass towels separately from other chemical towels.

Spray onto the towel, not the glass!

Make sure to roll down the windows to get the top edges too.

Dash plastics naturally off-gas and cause haze, and so does the defroster vent. Keep on top of the cleaning. Just because you haven't touched the glass doesn't mean it isn't dirty.
